Welfare & Vulnerability Engagement for Retail Staff
Retail staff are often in a unique position to notice when a customer may be at risk. Whether someone appears anxious, disoriented, or is showing signs of distress or abuse, knowing how to respond sensitively can provide vital support and potentially prevent further harm.
This Welfare and Vulnerability for Retail Staff course is designed to help those working in shops, supermarkets, shopping centres, and customer service roles understand how to identify vulnerability and respond appropriately. It also introduces the Safe Spaces initiative—providing a discreet way for vulnerable individuals to access support in-store.
The training supports retailers in creating safer environments for the public, while reinforcing the importance of staff awareness and positive intervention.
