Fire Marshal
Being a fire warden or marshal is a big responsibility and entails several very specific and important tasks, so, whether you already hold the role or you’re aspiring to step up to it, this course covers everything you need to know to keep your company and its people safe.
You never know when fire, explosions or gas leaks are around the corner, but while you can’t control what happens tomorrow, you can control how ready you are to react, help and limit any damage – and that’s where fire marshal training comes in.
What You Will Learn
By the end of this Fire Marshal training course, you will be able to:
- Understand the purpose and scope of fire safety legislation in the UK, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
- Explain the principles of fire science, including the fire triangle and how fire behaves in enclosed spaces.
- Conduct or contribute to fire risk assessments within the workplace.
- Identify common fire hazards and understand the steps to mitigate them.
- Describe the roles and responsibilities of a fire marshal or fire warden before, during, and after an incident.
- Understand different types of fire safety equipment and how to recognise them in the workplace.
- Support safe and effective evacuation procedures, including assisting vulnerable individuals and coordinating with emergency services.
- Promote ongoing fire safety awareness among colleagues and contribute to a safer working environment.
- (Where applicable) Take part in a practical session using fire extinguishers safely and confidently.
Certification
Successful candidates will receive certification of achievement. Accredited Fire Marshal Qualification also available
