Introduction & Safeguarding Commitment
Prima Cura Training delivers First Aid, Health & Safety, and Health & Social Care training across workplaces, schools, care settings, community venues, private homes (including Personal Health Budgets and Direct Payments), and online environments throughout the United Kingdom.
Because we regularly deliver training in environments where children, young people and adults at risk may be present, safeguarding is embedded into our governance framework, operational procedures and course delivery standards.
We are committed to:
- Creating safe, respectful and inclusive learning environments
- Promoting a culture of dignity, wellbeing and professional boundaries
- Recognising safeguarding concerns, including low-level concerns
- Acting promptly and proportionately where concerns arise
- Working transparently with statutory safeguarding agencies
- Ensuring data protection legislation does not prevent lawful safeguarding action
Safeguarding responsibilities take priority over commercial or operational considerations.
Safeguarding compliance forms part of our wider governance, quality assurance and risk management framework and is overseen directly by the Founder & Lead Trainer.
Safeguarding Culture
Prima Cura Training operates a zero-tolerance approach to abuse, neglect, exploitation or discriminatory practice.
Safeguarding is treated as a live operational responsibility, not a theoretical requirement. Professional curiosity, respectful challenge and early reporting are actively encouraged. Concerns that may not meet the harm threshold are still taken seriously and recorded appropriately.
Safeguarding in Practice
Safeguarding principles are embedded within course delivery.
In First Aid, Health & Social Care and Care Certificate training, learners are supported to understand how safeguarding concerns may arise in real environments, including workplaces, care homes, schools and community settings.
Trainers:
- Model professional conduct and safe boundaries
- Reinforce safe practice throughout delivery
- Encourage learners to raise concerns
- Escalate safeguarding issues without delay
If safeguarding concerns are identified during training, they are managed in line with this policy.
