Community Work
Free Basic Life Support Training | Manchester
In response to a rise in knife crime and serious stabbings in the local area, Steph organised and delivered free Basic Life Support training at FC United of Manchester during the school half-term break. The sessions were open to the public and deliberately timed to engage teenagers, with the majority of incidents in the area involving young people.
Around 40 people attended across a range of ages. The goal was straightforward: give people in the community the skills to keep someone alive in the moments before an ambulance arrives, because in a stabbing, those minutes are everything.
This work sits alongside Steph’s acknowledgement from the Knife Angel Project and reflects a long-standing commitment to community safety that goes well beyond the training room.
Speaking Engagements
Steph speaks regularly at networking events, business forums, schools, and industry expos on first aid awareness, safeguarding responsibilities, and care sector education standards. Recent engagements include Colony Networking, MBBC, and schools across Greater Manchester, as well as sector-specific expo events.
