Food Hygiene Awareness
Under the Food Hygiene Regulations 2006, all food businesses in the UK must ensure the food they prepare, store, and serve is safe to eat. This Food Hygiene Awareness training course provides a clear introduction to food safety and helps staff understand their responsibilities when working with food.
This course is suitable for anyone who handles food in a professional setting. It is ideal for staff working in care homes, cafés, schools, catering services, and other environments where food preparation or service takes place. Therefore, learners gain the knowledge needed to follow safe procedures, reduce contamination risks, and support legal compliance.
The training covers essential food hygiene topics, including personal hygiene, cross-contamination, safe food storage, cleaning routines, and pest control. In addition, learners develop an understanding of the legal framework that governs food safety and why following these rules protects both consumers and businesses.
No prior experience is required. By the end of this Food Hygiene Awareness course, learners feel more confident handling food safely and maintaining high standards of hygiene in their day-to-day work.
